This is a really nice Reeves China palette that would once have been in a paint box. It is of a good size and will fill the lower drawer of an antique or possibly modern Watercolour box.
There is a tiny very fine crack that I think occurred during firing but it has never got worse and I believe is very stable. It’s hardly visible at least to me so I’d be very surprised if it ever caused any problems.
Apart from that it is a beautiful thing and very useful. It dates to between 1860 to 1880 I believe.
A lovely and rare item that is as useful today as when it was made all those years ago.
